⇒The cost to attend a baseball game has really gotten out of hand. Someone has to help pay these
ridiculous salaries and its the average fan who has to bear the cost. Just look at the current situation
with steroid use. Its difficult to feel sorry for someone making millions as we struggle to shell out
$35.00 ust for a ticket, much less food and drink at the game.
⇒Now you are battered with loud ads between innings, way to much discussion about salaries and
too few day games. And too few free TV games.
⇒They need more games on tv. The bigest factor is the quality of the broadcasters. The team needs
to have a cometent, credible play by play person in the booth for both radio and tv. Otherwise the game
can become unwtchable.
⇒Too much momentary advertising- Example: The Purina Dog Food Starting Line-up
⇒Fans spend big bucks to see them play and the least they can do to support the fan base by being
more accessible to the fans and giving autographs for free. Not all fans want to sell their autographs.
I have autographs that I got in person from Rose, Bench, Concepcion, Seaver, Mantle, Aaron and Reggie
Jackson.
⇒I find most of the bells and whistles at pro sporting events to be very annoying. It's crazy
to me that people need to be told when to clap, when to cheer, and when to do stupid shit like the wave.
Baseball is a great game and so much of that crap seems to say "we don't believe that so we are going
to distract you from your boredom"
