The Fan Friendly Seal of Approval recognizes MLB Players for their generosity of spirit towards baseball
fans everywhere and for the player's recognition of the fans importance to the game. Place your vote
for the players you consider to be "Fan Friendly!"
The 2008 recipients of the Fan Friendly Seal of Approval are: |
 |
Andre Ethier
Andre Ethier, one of the new young faces of the Los Angeles Dodgers, has certainly made an impression on Dodger fans judging by the number of votes he received. As he heads into the 2008 season, Andre will have to compete for playing time, but apparently not for the affection of the L.A. fans. Congratulations to Andre, let's hope we seen him here for years to come! |
 |
Tim Hudson
Since his days in Oakland, Tim Hudson has long been thought of as Fan-Friendly, but now the fans in Atlanta are finding that out first hand. Hudson notices those who are in the stands regularly, and finds way to let them know they are appreciated. Thanks Tim, and please, keep reaching out! |
 |
Brian Roberts
Brian Robert is a repeat winner of the Fan-Friendly Award but he also might be our most controversial winner, since his name appeared in the Mitchell report. He later confirmed that he had briefly used performance enhancing drugs. The interesting thing is that he received a large percentage of his votes after his admission, which shows just what a difference it can make if players do take time for fans. You help us, and we will be there for you when you need us! |
 |
Omar Vizquel
Omar is our second repeat Fan-Friendly
Award winner this year. The great news is he will be back in San Francisco for a 20th season, so fans will get to see his skill up the middle and his great smile on a daily basis. Omar really is one of the good guys, and we are glad that fans everywhere know it! |
 |
David Wright
David is our third repeat winner this year, which shows that last year's award wasn't a fluke. The great news is that David was awarded with a long term contract from the Mets, so the team can benefit from his warm smile and his great play for years to come, and the fans can benefit from his friendly outlook and his generosity to those that cheer him on. Thanks David, and keep it up! |
